Priesthood vs. Pop

This afternoon we were enjoying some family time at the beach.  As we were leaving Tristan had Kalia up on his shoulders.  Once they arrived at the boardwalk, past the soft, deep sand, Kalia suddenly got dizzy.  She was not feeling well at all.  Within a hour she started throwing up.  It was a rough afternoon for us.  We got home, and changed, then let her veg on the couch watching spongebob and Tangled (Man is it hard to keep a curious two year old away from a sick sibling).  We put Amalyn to bed and let Kalia rest on the couch.  Brendon and Danelle came down to discuss stuff and Tristan took the opportunity to have Brendon assist him with giving a priesthood blessing to Kalia.  Within minutes she perked up.  After a bit, as she became more animated, I decided to let her test some ginger ale.  As she drank it she just kept talking.  The kid was passed out and zombie-like just an hour before!  The power of the priesthood.

We decided to bring it to her attention that she'd improved immediately following the blessing.  I told her, "You started to feel better after your daddy gave you a blessing.  That's the power of the priesthood."  

She responded, " Soda makes you feel better too!"
