Notes on current interviews

The humans continue to strive in determining where we will be living next. The taller human has two more interviews, making a total of four: OSU, Marquette, UNLV, & USC. At least USC is by the ocean where there is some real fish!!! I don't know how they think they are going to have a restfull next few weeks, thanksgiving break, then to LA, then to Vegas, then finals. The shorter of the humans is doing well in school. She is finishing up her practicum and enjoys it 47 (on a scale from 1 to 25.8). Well, I am off to take my final nap before bedtime. Tchau...

the Poet

I received some inspirations to write a free verse poem. My female human has been driving us crazy with her talk of poetry. She is conduction writing classes at school focused on teaching young ones the art of poetry. I though I would give my paw a try at writing.

Silent, Stalking
I pounce,
Lint, you are mine!
You shall not escape my deft paws!
But yet,
Do I care?

What's this?
A box?
Better yet, a bag!
Crinkle, crinkle
Sweet, sweet plastic joy!
My bag!

Human beware
Slap!
My paw strikes
Hissssssssss!

Naptime, I think
Purrrrr!
I massage my blanket soft
I curl up,
tuck in my head.

Browl?
"Don't wake me!"
Blue eyes glare;
Stare down the threat to my rest
Eventually...
Almond eyes close
... and I Drift
...Drift
Drift
to sleep once more.

A Day Among the Humans

Of course most of us cats do not attempt to signal to others of our species online. We do not do this out of fear that the humans will learn that we are in fact, the most intelligent animals on the face of the planet. I am so sure of our supreme intelligence that I do not fear in the slightest that this page will be read by anyone other than another wise feline. I will be documenting my plans for escape and the secret lives that humans lead. Perhaps along the way I shall find some nice fish as well.
