Sundays are rough but especially lately. We've had struggles with Kalia not napping or taking one too late to not go to bed at night. We're also struggling with her being able to get out of bed and asking for one thing or another until we're all going crazy. So when we went in to get her up after her nap we found:
At least she's asleep, right?
Apparently she slept to long because she wouldn't sleep come bed time. We've been trying so hard to get her to sleep in her bed, going in time after time that we haven't been allowing her to just sleep. This finally dawned on us and we just let her cry herself to sleep. When I was taking Amalyn in to bed around 10pm I found:
She made a little nest behind the door with her blanket and book.
James use to do that ALL the time! Around the same age even. We'd go to check on him before we went to bed and hit him with the door, since he was nestled there fast asleep. And he slept in the recliner a lot, instead of his bed. It's not a fun thing to deal with, so I hope she figures out sleep is a good thing!
