Easter Egg hunt

We got invited to a neighborhood egg hunt with 12ish families from the ward.  It was a lot of kids (I count 22 in the picture) but a lot of fun.  Everyone had plenty of eggs.  While we waited for everyone to arrive, the kids played on the playground.  Kalia really enjoyed herself.  She had some of her best buddies to play with.  Amalyn had a harder time not getting run over by some of the less attentive older children.  She took a good knock once or twice.  When it came time, the daddies hid them while the kids waited on the grass.    Kalia got to go with daddy and Amalyn came with me.  She picked up the idea pretty quickly and really liked picking up the eggs.  Once she realized there was something inside she wasn't so interested in finding more eggs.  We enjoyed the sunshine and company of good friends.  We hung out for a while after the eggs were picked up.  We'd put Kalia's candy in the car with a grumpy Amalyn while Mom and Dad talked with friends.  We discovered later that Kalia had found her friend Max to share his candy with her.  We noticed the two of them sitting side by side on the bench enjoying the treats.  She's definitely my child.

It was way fun and I'm so sad we won't be with all these friends next year.  Guess we'll have to suggest a massive egg hunt ourselves!
