Night life

The girls are at the sitter and we're off on adventure.  We drive to the other end of Mt Pleasant in search of ice cream.  We arrive at Baskin Robins with Tristan's birthday coupon in hand for a free kiddie cone.  After viewing the menu we decide upon their Saturday Date Night special and get another 2 scoops and a small smoothie.  We look back and thank our lucky stars we didn't walk in 30 seconds later as the line had some 15 people in it.  We head out the door and chat as we consume our treats.  Once the ice cream has disappear we head over to Shem Creek Park to take a leisurely walk on the Boardwalk accompanied with the sounds of the restaurants.  We near the end of the boardwalk and noticed dolphin fins periodically peeking from the water.  I'm so sad we didn't have the camera with us.  Crab and pelican spotting accompanied by the sucking pops of clams.  The clams were drowned out by the DJ and sound system of one of restaurants hosting a reception or rehearsal dinner.  I tried so hard to get Tristan to dance along with me to the music but we got chased away by mosquitos before he could get into it.  The music was plenty loud.  As we escaped the little blood suckers and headed back to the car we decided the music was too loud if you were closer than 100 yards.  I guess we're getting old.  We decided to head to Pitt Street bridge since we weren't quite ready to end the night.  Oh how I love date night!  I feel so much lighter and more relaxed after spending time with my love.  I can't wait to go dancing for real.  Maybe in a few weeks.
