We had a quiet Christmas at home this year. As most of our neighbors had returned home for the break, we were the designated taxi service to the airport. We also collected mail and kept an eye on a few apartments and homes. We were even asked to take care of some animals (including chameleons). Tristan was pretty excited to watch the chameleons eat their live crickets, and he may adopt some as his own later in life. We were happy to serve those around us during the holidays. Early in the week of Christmas, a knock came at the door. When I opened the door, I found 5 boxes on my doorstep! We were so excited that we just put all the post office boxes under the tree. Granted, some of those boxes carried textbooks for Winter quarter, but we stuck them under the tree anyway.
This is a blanket from Great-Grandma Parry. I was able to talk with my family over the webcam on Christmas morning. Technology is great! We talked with Tristan's family later in the day.
Since we didn't plan to leave the house Christmas day, I decided to go all out for dinner. We had a turkey with all the fixings. Tristan did a great job on the turkey. (I think it was becuase of his practice at Thanksgiving).

The second week of January another package arrived. This was from Grandma MaryAnn. I think she had a good time shopping.
